Research Area：The Cao laboratory investigate the neural mechanisms underlining sensation and behavior. We employ multidisciplinary approaches—including in vivo multi-electrode patch-clamp recordings, two-photon imaging, molecular genetics, circuit tracing, and behavior assays—to study circadian rhythms, mechanoreception and gustation.
